We are Quintus and Frank, the founders of Epic Bike Trails.

Barcelona is our home. Spain is our passion, our exclusive focus and the setting for every basecamp and expedition we create.

Mountain biking is our core: MTB and eMTB, with gravel adventures also part of our expeditions.

For more than two decades, we have been riding, researching and connecting the dots between Spain’s strongest riding regions, landscapes and local trail cultures. That focus helps us understand what makes each place special, and which destination, season and terrain will suit your next adventure.

For us, the question was never just about choosing a trail.

It was always: where are we riding next, and what kind of adventure are we really choosing?

We knew the challenge from the inside.

Komoot, AllTrails, GPX files and dozens of destination pages open at once. One tab for weather. One for bike rental. Another for accommodation, shuttles, trail conditions and local tips.

Plenty of information. No clear way to compare one riding area with another, or to know whether it would fit our group, our dates and the experience we wanted.

A route file can show the distance.
A map can show the line.
But understanding the rhythm of a place takes more.

Spain had the riding.
The knowledge was scattered.

We had experienced the consequences ourselves: the wrong season, terrain that did not suit the group, or good trails that still left us feeling we had missed the real character of a place.

Because Spain is a whole riding continent compressed into one country, from alpine Pyrenees and Atlantic forests to Mediterranean mountains, volcanic islands, limestone ridges and dry winter trails.

And mountain bike adventure goes well beyond the terrain.

It sharpens the senses, opens the mind and reconnects us with what feels real: the effort of the climb, the focus of the descent, the silence of a remote trail. Then the food after the ride, the village you did not expect, the conversations and the stories you bring home.

That belief became Epic Bike Trails: mountain bike journeys through Spain where the trails are only part of the story. Wild landscapes, local food, village life and thoughtfully planned routes come together in adventures you feel while you ride, and remember long after you return.

We built Epic Bike Trails to connect the dots: the riding, the seasons, the places to stay and the people who know the area, so you can find the right basecamp or expedition for the adventure you have in mind.

For us, a basecamp is where everything comes together: varied trails, a comfortable place to return to, good food and local support.

That is why we look beyond the headline trail. We consider the best time to ride, the variety of routes, how the terrain suits your group, the options for MTB and eMTB, and what there is to discover when the bikes are parked.
