How we use browser technology
This website uses browser storage and similar technologies for necessary functions and for analytics. Non-essential analytics is enabled by default from your first visit; you can opt out at any time.
Current technologies
| Name/provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
epic_cookie_consentEpic Bike Trails | Records your analytics preference, if you have changed it from the default, so the website can respect the choice. | Necessary | 12 months, until the policy version changes, or until browser storage is cleared. |
| PostHog browser storage and identifiers PostHog | Measures page use and interactions and may produce heatmap information to improve the website. | Analytics (enabled by default, opt-out available) | Session or provider-configured retention, depending on the item. |
| Cloudflare security and delivery technology Cloudflare | Network security, traffic delivery, abuse prevention and service operation. | Necessary | Varies according to the security function. |
The table must be reviewed whenever website providers or tracking configuration changes. A production scan should be performed after every material deployment.
Your choices
Analytics is on by default from your first visit. The first time you visit, a banner lets you dismiss this notice, opt out immediately, or configure your choice. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using “Cookie Settings” in the footer. Opting out of analytics does not prevent use of the website or enquiry form.
External resources
Pages may request resources from third parties, including map-tile providers where an interactive map is displayed and Google-hosted font files. Those providers may receive technical request information such as an IP address. We are reviewing these resources with the aim of reducing unnecessary third-party requests.
